Be Careful when eating apples especially apples from USA and other parts.
Some of these apples can be more than 1 year old and still look fresh and juicy because they are coated with wax, preventing bacteria to enter.
Please don’t eat the skin of the apple because it’s coated with wax.
Check before you eat many of the fruits.
WAX is being used for preservation purposes and cold storage.
You might be surprised especially apples from USA and other parts are more than one year old, though it would look fresh.. Because wax is coated, preventing bacteria to enter. So it does not get dry..

I bet that filthy razer blade adds more bad stuff to your apple than the wax itself, which btw, is natural and added in very small quantities (about 1-2 drops of wax per apple).
The wax they use on the apples is almost directly comparable to the wax found on them as added by mother nature, but thanks to extreme washing practices (again, for your benefit) prior to shipment, this natural wax is removed.
I do agree with you that customers should be aware of unfresh apples that have been in storage for a while though. With everything else, stop being so darn paranoid.
